Abdel Gousmane, Director of the Agriculture District, Aguié province
  • Today people are confronted with more and more production problems. The chemical fertilizers are expensive.
  • I am not surprised by the keen interest the populations show PS. They say they eat the chickens that eat all kind of shit in the village. So what is the problem of eating crops that have been fertilized by urine? What you eat gets back to the soil, it is logical.
  • Our religion emphasizes hygiene. And more than hygiene, with productive sanitation there is also the possibility to produce more.
  • To disseminate the approach it is enough to train and rely on the CDA. A CDA can cover up to twenty villages. And on province level we report to the regional Director. That’s how the message passes in the organisation. And making demonstration tests close to the road is also good to make it easy to visit.
